If you have a car in addition to your wife having another and your teenage son also demanding a new car, it is understandable that you look for cheap car insurance. The insurance rates for cars have skyrocketed in nearly all states (more in some than others) and I wouldn’t blame you to be looking for a package deal for all three cars to be paying much less than getting insurance policies for all three from different companies. Even for those who are planning to buy a new car in near future, it makes sense to find out the company that charges the lowest premium as car insurance is statutory and one cannot just wish it away. It is a fact that when it comes to contacting a car insurance company for the insurance of a car, it is only those companies that advertise heavily on TV and other print media that come to one’s mind. These are the companies shaving a fat share of the total number of customers in the country. But Read more…

What company has the best car insurance coverage?
posted by Mitchell Kirby on February 9th, 2012 under Insurance Advise
Customers attempting to uncover what company has the best car insurance coverage must remember one key piece of advice. The concept of one-size fits all does not apply when it comes to acquiring auto coverage. In addition to considering personal budgets, consumers have to decide what features they expect from an insurer. Consumer groups recommend receiving a minimum of three quotes before making a final decision. Find affordable car insurance coverage for you by entering you ZIP code in our car insurance comparison tool for FREE.
Customers should have basic knowledge about car insurance before making their first inquiry. For starters, coverage consists of two parts:
- Third-party liability covers damages caused by the policyholder. This category entails property damage and bodily injury amounts.
- First-party coverage handles damages suffered by the policyholder and/or their passengers.

Here are the top five crazy promotions of all time from American auto dealers.
1. Safari Sale
Franklin Sussex Auto Mall – Sussex, NJ
On a single September Saturday, this dealership “walks on the wild side.” It transforms itself into a mini-wildlife preserve, complete with live kangaroos, snakes, monkeys, and camels. Salespeople are clad in khaki safari outfits and pith helmets, customers get free food and drink, and the dealership gives away a Disney World Animal Kingdom vacation.
2. Buy A Car From a Rockstar
Checkered Flag Volkswagen – Virginia Beach, VA
3. Free AK-47
Nations Trucks – Sanford, FL
If you’re gonna spend money on a new truck, then you’d better have something to protect it with. That’s the reasoning behind this dealer’s “buy a truck, get a machine gun” promotion. N
Auto Insurance Discounts May Become Portable
posted by Eve Dearth on January 24th, 2012 under Auto Insurance Tips
Just like the cell phone industry fought for you to be able to take your phone number from one company to another, the auto insurance industry in California wants you to be able to take your discounts with you. According to Car insurance discount act could give break in prices, Nannette Miranda of Californias ABC News10 says that your continuous coverage car insurance discount could become portable.
If the 2012 Automobile Insurance Discount Act passes, any driver who receives a discount for retaining continuous auto insurance coverage from one company would be able to take their discount to another company. If this does not pass, companies will still be prohibited from giving discounts based on past coverage with another auto insurance company. This initiative does not take into account any type of discounts for being a good driver.
A campaign consultant argues that this will allow for greater competition in the marketplace as companies can charge better rates. The Consumer Federation of California disagrees. They say that people who have been uninsured for any period of time will be hurt by 40-50% surcharges on their insurance coverage, even if they were uninsured because they didnt have a vehicle. Mercury Insurance tried to pass a similar initiative two years ago to no avail. There are some people who believe Mercury is behind this initiative as well.
Health insurance costs could be offset by wellness

How happy are you on a scale of 1 to 10? How many days did you exercise last week? How many vegetables did you eat yesterday? How financially secure do you feel?
This isn’t a questionnaire people are filling out in the doctor’s office waiting room. It’s information their health-insurance company wants, and I’d be lying to say it doesn’t make me a little squeamish.
Employers are trying to lower their soaring health-care costs, and wellness is the industry’s favorite new antidote.
The wellness craze means that many of us now do things like fill out surveys with such intimate details as how we feel about our relationship with our boss or how supportive our family and friends are. Talk to a health coach about how many biceps curls we did during our last workout. Calibrate our pedometers and report, literally, every step we take to our employers.
And if we don’t do these things? Then many employers withhold financial incentives worth hundreds of dollars toward our deductibles and other insurance costs. Read more…
Cost of motoring roars ahead

The recent report issued by the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) on the cost of running a car in the UK today, is enough to make anyone think twice before they get a motor insurance quote.
Fuel duty the main cause
According to the nationally recognised motoring group the price motorists pay to go about their business using a car has spiralled in the last 12 months. It will come as no surprise at all to motorists that driving is more expensive than ever before but the RAC reckon costs have increased by a massive 14% in the last year. The increases seem to cover every aspect of motoring but it is the fuel price that seems to have crippled long term motorists the most. This time last year petrol and diesel both cost less than £1.20 a litre, today drivers are paying on average £1.34 and £1.40 respectively. Fu
